The strategy employed by terrorists in Northern Nigeria continue to evolve with yesterday’s killing of cows around the now notorious Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.

According to a statement signed by Captain Salisu Mustapher on behalf of the Special Task Force (STF) on Jos crisis, personnel of the STF received a report of an attack by gunmen on cows that were moving from Bisichi Village of Barkin Ladi LGA to Sanga LGA in Kaduna State.

The statement goes further to explain that the commander of the STF,  Maj. Gen. Henry Ayoola, visited the scene of the crime and sympathized with the owners of the attacked livestock.

The STF Commander immediately summoned a meeting where it was agreed that the owners should be supported financially to cushion their loss.

Ayoola and the the management committee chairman of Barkin Ladi LGA donated the sum of N100,000 each to assist the victims after assessing the loss.

The STF said its personnel on routine patrol had recovered a stolen green Range Rover car with registration number GQ 824 ABC at Angwan Rogo area of Jos North Local Government Area.  One of the robbers who stole the vehicle was arrested and is currently undergoing investigation.
