“Just left the beautiful island of Opobo. Been thr since ‘last year’ with no glo coverage to wish u a happy new year sooner. HNY EVERYONE! :),” tweeted Africa’s biggest movie star Genevieve Nnaji, just before taking a big dip into the debate over the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government. It would be recalled that she has been an enthusiastic supporter of President Goodluck Jonathan.
She’s kicked off a raging conversation on her the Twitter Timeline and is engaging in a rare back and forth with her followers on the matter – with Tweets, Retweets and Commentary over a 3-day period.
One thing is obvious – she is loving the debate and clearly isn’t bothered about those who have chosen to attack the president’s endorsers. At a time when some of her colleagues have come out to “disown” the president, you’ve got to love a woman who’s not afraid to say her mind.
What do you think? See her timeline up to date below:

There are benefits from fuel subsidy removal but I believe these benefits are peculiar to each country and Nigeria is extremely unique.
