Nigerian Polytechnic lecturers have suspended their indefinite strike currently in its third month; and agreed to return to work.
The lecturers, under the umbrella of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) resolved to suspend the strike on Tuesday afternoon.
This follows a meeting with federal lawmakers and several ministers last week in which the group promised to review the government’s offer.
The decision to call off the strike was made public by the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Clement Chiamen earlier today.
