Watford Striker, Isaac Success has stayed away from the clash between the Super Eagles and Zambia because the NFF asked foreign-based players to buy their own tickets, AfricanFootball reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) had asked foreign-based players to pay for their own flight to Abuja, promising that they would be refunded.
An official told AfricanFootball.com: “The boy asked about his flight ticket to Abuja and when he was told to buy it and he will get a refund on arrival, he was disgusted and preferred to stay away.”
NFF President, Amaju Pinnick had told the Senate Sports Committee on Tuesday that the football body was broke.
