Jonathan, Dasuki absent from Metuh’s trial despite court order

Former President Goodluck Jonathan and ex-National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki are currently absent in court in the trial of former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh.

Why it matters:

The Federal High Court in Abuja had issued a subpoena, ordering Jonathan to appear before it as a defence witness.

It also order the DSS to produce Dasuki to stand as witness.

What is happening:

The DSS is yet to produce Dasuki in court despite the order.

A court registrar told the judge during the Tuesday’s proceedings that the court bailiff had yet to serve the former President with the subpoena.
