President Muhammadu Buhari and Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, on Thursday held a closed door meeting inside the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
According to The Punch the meeting which lasted for about an hour held inside the President’s office.
The Nobel Laureate was accompanied by a public relations expert, Dr. Yomi Ogunbiyi.
President Buhari confirmed the meeting via his Twitter handle, @MBuhari but gave no details as to what was discussed.

At the end of the meeting when questioned by statehouse correspondents Prof. Soyinka said, “I didn’t come to see you people,” as he tried to waltz away from the journalists.
Seeing that the reporters would not bulge
When it became clear to him that the reporters would not relent Soyinka said, “I came to discuss national and international matters, general matters, that’s all!”
He however refused to divulge what was discussed saying, “I will be holding a press conference in about a week. You can ask me any question then, but now, please I will just like to get away.”
