Judgment in the appeal filed by substituted governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming election in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede has been adjourned indefinitely by the Court of Appeal, PM News reports.
Delivering its judgment on Friday, the panel led by Justice Ibrahim Saulawa said the appeal was adjourned indefinitely to allow the Supreme Court rule on interlocutory appeals filed by the parties in the dispute.
The panel also adjourned all other pending appeals, including one filed by Ahmed Makarfi, relating to the dispute over the governorship ticket of the PDP in November 26 election.
Eyitayo Jegede is challenging the substitution of his name by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
