She’s known, alongside her famous sisters, for being meticulously preened, styled and groomed before making a public appearance.

But Khloe Kardashian outdid herself on Friday, wearing layers of heavy make-up and bright red lipstick as she wrapped up her three-day tour of New York City.

The 28-year-old reality TV star, and younger sister of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, went all out with leather pants, paired with her favourite black over-the-knee Givenchy boots and a garish Louis Vuitton handbag.

‘Usually I’m all about comfort when I travel, but I was so excited for my trip to NYC that I decided to get all glammed up,’ she wrote in a blog post on her website on Friday.

‘Nothing like a red lip… to add a little glamour to your look,’ she continued.

While taking a stroll in the city, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star paired the high-fashion footwear — priced at $1,695 — with black leather pants, a white leather jacket and her fur-lined patent leather handbag.

Friday marks the third day in a row she’s been wearing the boots, as she was first spotted wearing them as she arrived at a Los Angeles airport on Wednesday, and then took them out again on Thursday morning for her appearance on Good Morning America.

The bag, a Limited Edition Monogram Sac Thunder Tote with a recommended retail price of $3,550, has also been at her side, as she carried it on her hip to the morning show appearance.

But she changed into a pair of Tom Ford grey python print boots for her late night appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen — a bold appearance in which she talked about her sister’s ex Kris Humphries.

‘I don’t know why he’s asking for anything,’ she said about the drawn out divorce. ‘He’s fame-hungry, in my opinion. He wants money … I just think everything he’s doing is so … it’s just gross to me.’

Khloe previously revealed she and Kris clashed when they first met because he accused her of staging her marriage with Lamar Odom for publicity.

‘One of the first things that came out of his mouth – like within the first five minutes – was, “So, how much you getting paid to fake your marriage? Like how long are you gonna keep this up for?”

The reality star also fit in a bit of charity while in the Big Apple.

On Thursday she helped launch Kotex’s Generation Know campaign, which aims to help young women get more in touch with their bodies and make vaginal health an acceptable topic of conversation.

Speaking on Good Morning America earlier in the day, Khloe had explained that she hoped Generation Know would help girls who were too embarrassed to ask questions.

‘When I was a teenager, I didn’t have anybody to go to ask, you know, the things that you’re embarrassed about,’ she explained. ‘Or that you might feel uncomfortable asking anybody.’

While Khloe herself may be well informed about her body, she has been open about her issues with infertility.

‘I’ve been open and honest about it,’ she explained.

‘Kimberly is the one that made me go to the doctor and check my body. And figure out what was wrong, if anything.’
