[The Legislative Blog]: Senate adjourns plenary to mourn late Senator Adeleke

Upon its resumption today, the Senate adjourned plenary session to Wednesday out of respect for its member, Senator Isiaka Adeleke who passed on over the weekend.

A short session was however held where the senators stood in one-minute silence for the late lawmaker.

Presiding over the session, Senate President Bukola Saraki said there will be a farewell service in honour of Senator Adeleke on Wednesday and requested the senators to be appropriately dressed.

The senators later proceeded to sign the condolence register at the entrance of the upper chamber.

Senator Isiaka Adeleke represented Osun West constituency in the House and was a former governor of Osun state. He was buried on Monday.
