President Jonathan’s loyalist, Peter Obi, has been rewarded with a last-minute political appointment.
The former Governor of Anambra State has been appointed by the President as the new Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Obi’s appointment was announced on Monday, April 27.
The Presidency stated that his appointment is to take an immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the appointment of the Acting Director General, Mounir Gwazo, as the Director General of the Commission, was also approved by the President.
