Yesterday, the Federal Government announced that the Minister of Youth Development, Bolaji Abdullahi is to take over the sport ministry acting as the minister of sport and chairman of sport commission.  

Adullahi’s assignment followed the resignation of the former Minister of Sport, Yusuf Suleiman, who declared interest to participate in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Sokoto State.

The news came during the Federal Executive Council in Abuja and Abdullahi is to oversee sport activities in the country pending the appointment of the separate minister.
