Last week, Nasty C made a stop at The Wake Up show, hosted by veteran on-air personality, Sway Calloway. As expected for rappers who have come on the nationally syndicated American broadcast, Nasty was given a complimentary beat to spit bars. And to the surprise of Sway and everyone in the studio, the 20 year old rapper rose to the occasion, dropping punchlines hard enough to get Sway to do his customary act of slipping on his sunshades.
Nasty C is the second South African rapper to feature on Sways’s The Wake Up Show. His predecessor, Casper Nyovest had come intending to do the same thing Nasty C did, only he got nervous and literally wouldn’t stop shaking to his fingertips. Nasty C’s calm demeanour and overall confidence however is in sharp contrast to Casper’s outing. This legendary freestyle only further accentuates why the rapper has been touted as one of the best hip-hop acts to ever come out of Africa.
