NEDIS to strengthen academic innovation through partnerships

As part of its mandate to strengthen partnerships in the education sector, The Education Partnership (TEP) Centre is supporting education innovators to achieve sustainable impact through the Nigerian Education Innovation Summit (NEDIS). NEDIS serves as a platform to strengthen access to a higher quality of education, through creative ways known as education innovation, from conception to implementation, in Nigeria.

In 2016, NEDIS focused on exposing education sector stakeholders to the concept and practice of systematically introducing education innovations such that they are positioned to reach more schools and children, and become embedded in educational policies and systems.

NEDIS 2017, themed ‘From Evidence to Policy and Action: What Works?’, will bring together 200 key stakeholders from government, research and academia, development organisations, donors, and a broad range of education innovators that will focus on addressing gaps in data and evidence, hearing perspectives of policymakers on what makes evidence useful, and analyzing the role of communication and advocacy in strengthening the use of generated evidence. The summit will also showcase best practices, locally and internationally, in evidence-based policymaking. This year, NEDIS will introduce a themed symposium, capacity development workshops and an exhibition of products and services.

The summit is holding July 10 – 11, 2017, at Ladi Kwali Conference Centre, Sheraton Abuja Hotel, Ladi Kwali Way, Abuja. The 2-Day summit begins 9am daily.

Join in the conversation, with education stakeholders such as Honorable Obafela Bank-Olemoh (Lagos State Special Adviser on Education), Chude Jideonwo (Red Media Africa), Dr. Kola Shettima (MacArthur Foundation), and other education innovators in Nigeria, by registering here. Registration is FREE but spaces are limited.
