“What they gonna do?”

A reporter asked Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde at a press briefing on a Wednesday about her new role in the new movie, Alter Ego – her first, in a while, and one that’s widely anticipated – and the sex scenes that will ensue and above was her answer.

“What they gonna do?”

“When I wasn’t even confident, there was a movie called ‘The Prostitute’, if I didn’t die then, is it now?”

Directed by Moses Enwang and produced by Esther Eyibio, Omotola is a fiery human rights lawyer named Adaora Igwe. Igwe is as fiery in the courtroom as she is in her personal life.

That fire gifts the movie with some explicit scenes.

The movie is out in July. The outrage machine and the Homo Habilis wing of Nigerian maledom are certain to emerge with criticism and attack.
