A Nigerian woman previously suspected to be infected with the deadly Ebola virus has been certified free from the disease.
A statement by an Israeli hospital spokesman said the woman who was admitted after being diagnosed of high fever tested negative for the EVD.
The spokeswoman for Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, said after receiving her test results, the patient was being treated for a different illness.
“In coordination with the Health Ministry, the quarantine was lifted. There is no danger,” she said.
The deadly Ebola virus was introduced into Nigeria by Liberian-American, Patrick Sawyer who later died of the disease.
EVD has killed over 2000 people in West Africa following its latest outbreak.
