Nigerian woman becomes the first African partner at prestigious US firm (WATCH)

Nigerians in the diaspora are doing great things day after day. From child sensation, Zuriel Oduwole to Oscar nominee, Chiwetel Ejiofor, the nation’s citizens are changing the face of Africa’s giant for good.

Another name worthy of note is that of Beatrice Hamza Bassey, the first African partner at prestigious American law firm, Hughes Hubbard & Reed.

Bassey went to the University of Maiduguri and moved on to the Harvard Law School where she attracted the attention of the firm.
