Number One Wave (NOW) a brand that seeks to influence the course of global conversations by stimulating development, empowering people and creating opportunities at the grassroot level shook the mainland with its Easter concert tagged “Alimosho Invasion”.

The memories of 2017 Easter celebrations would linger for a long time in the minds of residents of Abesan Estate, a suburb of Lagos mainland located in the Alimosho axis of Lagos state, which happens to be its largest Local Government Area, in terms of size and population. The neighbourhood was treated to 2-days uninterrupted fun, excitement, entertainment, rap battle, dance competition, comedy and music by leading performers and artistes in the Nigerian music industry such as Gongo Aso crooner 9ice, CDQ, Small Doctor, Koker, Jaywon, Terry Apala, Olu Maintain, Skuki, Spanky, Mc Bonus, Pencil Comedian, Tillaman, Rayce, Klever Jay while the disc jockey was neighbourhood product Dj Kaywise .

The Abesan Mini-stadium played host to the maiden edition of the event which held on Easter weekend from 15th to16th of April. Admission was via a bottle of “Big Volt” a recently launched energy drink by the headline sponsors Aje Group (makers of Big Cola).

Like every other event slated to hold for more than a day, the momentum of NOW gathered on the second and final day as more crowd thronged the venue in their multitudes to catch a glimpse of their favourite music acts. They were thrilled with not having to go all the way to the elitist Victoria Island axis of Lagos where most high-end concerts and entertainment shows are held with prohibitive gate fees.
