The former minister of information, Labaran Maku, while going on his campaigns, is usually accompanied with a live chicken.
Maku is contesting for the governorship of Nasarawa state, under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), which has a fowl as its logo.
The erstwhile student union leader, was until of recent, under the umbrella of the ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but lost the primary to Yusuf Agabi, who scored 214 votes to emerge the winner of the PDP gubernatorial primary in the State.
He also tried to attempted to secure the gubernatorial ticket of the Labour Party (LP), but was unsuccessful, before he finally decided to pitch his tent with the party with the ‘chicken’ as its logo.
When next you see the man wielding a live chicken, don’t be alarmed… he’s just campaigning.
