Reports indicate that the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has, in the past four days, arrested five suspected armed robbers recovering vehicles, arms and ammunition from them.

Two of the five suspects are women said to be girlfriends of the other suspects.

The two women, however, claim ignorance of the other suspect’s criminal activities.

Weapons recovered from the suspects include a locally made double-barrel gun, two cartridges and the stolen cars.

“The robbers are among the deadly armed robbers terrorising the good people of Lagos,” a source said.

Meanwhile, SP Abba Kyari, the Officer-in-Charge of SARS, who confirmed the suspects’ arrest, said that they were currently being interrogated by the squad.

Kyari reportedly assured that as soon as the investigations were concluded, the suspects would be charged to court.
