PDP appoints Metuh’s successor

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the appointment of Dayo Adeyeye as its national publicity secretary.

Adeyeye takes over from Olisa Metuh, who’s facing trial for receiving N400 million from the office of Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser, during the campaign phase of the last general election.

Former Senator, Ben Obi, has been appointed as the party’s secretary while Aisha Aliyu replaces Kema Chikwe as the new leader of women and youth.

The PDP’s new head of organisation and Mobilisation was announced as Abdul Ningi while Odion Ogbesia was put in charge of finance, treasury and audit and Kabir Usman, appointed head of the legal unit.

The appointments were made known by the PDP’s head of publicity, Chinwe Nnorom.
