President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday met with the embattled governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi at the Port Harcourt International Airport in the presence of a faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led by minister, Nyeson Wike.
Jonathan and Amaechi who were thought to be in a fight for supremacy in the lead up to the 2015 elections warmly exchanged pleasantries and embraced each other with the president full of smiles.

Amaechi was prevented by the president’s security men from approaching him a few days ago during a dinner at Aso Rock which later saw the governor leaving the venue almost immediately after.
Jonathan was reported to be on his way to Abuja from Bayelsa where he commissioned a hospital and visited the federal university in Otueke village.
Does this mean the political ‘war’ has ended? We’ll have to wait a few more days to determine that.
Nothing done in secret will ever succeed.
