Suicide bombers attacked two police formations in Sokoto this morning killing three people.

A suicide bomber drove a bomb rigged car towards the office of the assistant inspector-general of Police at the Yan Marina police station and detonated the bomb after meeting some resistance from security at the entrance.

The second explosion took place at Unguwar Rogo Police Station with the number of casualties not confirmed.

Many people were injured in the twin attacks with three confirmed dead.
