The Rivers State Police has apprehended a suspect who is allegedly behind the recent abduction of the sister of Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Allison-Madueke.
The arrest of the gang leader, who is notorious for kidnapping in the state, was announced by the police spokesperson, DSP Ahmad Muhammad.
He said, “The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public of Benjamin Bob Manuel’s arrest.”
“He was arrested around Nembe water front on November 9. He is the leader of the gang that abducted Osiya Agama, the sister to Diezani Allison-Madueke, in October.”
Muhammad would also reveal that an accomplice was arrested with Bob Manuel, adding that during the course of investigation, they confessed to kidnapping Agama.
“His accomplice, Whoknows Ekine was also picked today. They all confessed to the abduction of Osiya Agama,” he added.
