Unknown assailants have beheaded Amina Suleiman, the daughter of the Director General of Governor of Nasarawa State, Umaru Tanko Al – Makura’s Campaign Organisation, Mr. Musa Illu.
Amina, who was seven months pregnant, was assassinated on Monday, January 19, in her home in Katsina State.
As at the time of her death, her husband, Mohammed Suleiman, was on his way to Zaria for his doctorate degree programme.
The younger brother of the deceased’s father, Namairo Babai, said the victim was found in a pool of blood, explaining that her head was separated from her body, while a knife protruded from her stomach.
Babai said: “Her husband was on his way to the ABU Zaria when the incident happened. After the weekend when he tried calling, but couldn’t get her, he sent someone to check.”
“The person that went to the couple’s apartment later called back and told him that his wife had been slaughtered. Late Amina was killed in her home in faraway Katsina State.”
“Her husband was on his way to Zaria for his doctorate degree programme.”
Amina, who got married two years ago, was buried on Tuesday, January 20, in her husband’s home town in the state.
