President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to keep his promise and submit the ministerial list to the Senate today, September 30.
However, there is a little catch; the nation will not be getting all the names of members of Buhari’s cabinet, Punch reports.
The report says that the President will not be submitting the full list of his ministers to the Senate, just yet.
It is believed that Buhari will send the names of the nominees in batches to the Senate.
From all indications, it appears that the president doesn’t want to break the promise he repeatedly made to Nigerians, hence his resolve to send in some of the nominees while he compiles the full list.
A senior government official gave Punch Newspapers, an insight into the development.
“What the Senate will be getting on Tuesday or Wednesday will not be a complete list. The names will be sent in batches but quite a number will be on this first list while others will be compiled and sent later.”
By far, this is becoming the most closely-guarded ministerial list as there’s been no leak whatsoever, to the media from any government or presidency official.
