The Senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani has described the rift between the executive and legislative arm of government as “a diversion”.
Sani, a member of the legislature who said this Friday via a post on his Facebook page said the rift has stopped those in authority from performing their duties.
“Rift between the executive and legislative arm of government is a diversion from the collective responsibility of all persons in the position of power to responsibly deliver,” Sani said.
“Rift between the executive and legislative arm of Government is most often a peripheral intraclass skirmishes that is never allowed to destroy the collective political and economic interest of the ruling class.
“Rift between the executive branch and the legislative conditions people to divide themselves along power lines and interest lines, as against the moral and political obligation of the governed to question power and hold it to account collectively.”
