Chelsea fans have hailed the return of David Luiz to the club on Twitter. David Luiz is the Brazilian golden goodness with hair curls to die for. And if you haven’t figured it out already, he is also a footballer who plays Centre back/Defensive midfield position.

Luiz began his football career in Vitoria circa 2006 until his move to Benfica in 2007. He stayed with Benfica for 3 years, and then transferred to the Blues for £21.3m in the first month of 2011. Whilst there, Luiz made 143 appearances and secured a noteworthy goals for them. Thereafter, he undertook yet another transfer to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) where he spent the last three years; he helped deliver two Ligue 1 titles for them. David Luiz also made his full international debut in 2010 and has since earned over 50 caps.

When Chelsea made its initial offer to buy Luiz back from PSG, the negotiators did not think it would pass because PSG turned down the offer, saying that the defender was not for sale. Once Luiz found out that the Blues was interested in him, he took it upon himself to wade into the matter.  He met with PSG’s president and PSG’s director and told them he was interested because he felt there was unfinished business for him at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea’s website reports that “Chelsea Football Club and Paris Saint-Germain have agreed terms for the transfer of David Luiz back to London. The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.”
