An 11-year-old girl has been gang raped in Ehume community in Obowo local council area of Imo State.
The victim, Ngozi hails from Amaiyi, Ihitte Uboma local government area, but resides in Ehume with her parents.
On the day of the incident, the girl’s parents had sent her to buy foodstuff from Onuimo Rescue Market, in Obowo, and in a bid to quickly run the errand, the girl took a commercial motorcycle to and from the market
The father of the girl gave his account, saying, “That was how she boarded the motorcycle piloted by 35-year old Onyekachi Nwankwo, a native of Umunachi, Obowo”.
The father stated that after “Onyekachi picked Ngozi at the entrance of the market, he told the girl that he intended to pick his friend, Chike Njoku, who was waiting for him at the time, at Ekeja Market in Ehume, Obowo.”
“My daughter innocently agreed. The story suddenly changed when Onyekachi picked his friend veered off the road into a track leading to the boundary river between Umunachi and Umuagu communities in Obowo,” he added.
Meanwhile, the victim said she was compelled to follow the rapists into the bush after brandishing weapons to her face.
She said, “When I saw the weapons they were holding, I had no option than to follow them. They parked the motorcycle inside the bush, pulled off my dress and had sex with me, one after the other. They left me to my fate thereafter.”
That is insane. Why rape a girl who is so young I mean shit man they should get a life sentence or something I know sex is enticing but not in that way man
What is this world turning into? Gang raping an 11 years old girl. Even an adult girl will find it traumatizing more over this child that is still very unprepared for this ordeal. Una juju no go work. Make una go find another person from your family to take do rituals. They must have requested the sleeping with a virgin and that is why this psychopaths did this.
