Six suspected ritualists were reportedly arrested in Nkwerre, Imo State by law enforcement agents for allegedly engaging in the sale of human parts.

The gang was reportedly apprehended early this week by the men of the Nkwerre Vigilante Network after discovering the location which the suspected ritualists operated from.

The suspects who were said to have confessed to the crime revealed that they abduct people from different parts of the state and their body parts are sold to individuals who need it for some form of organ transplant.

During interrogation, the men confessed that some human body parts are sold for about N500,000 to a million naira depending on the organ demanded. According to LIB, two of the suspected ritualists were said to be pastors.

Decomposing bodies of victims were reportedly found in a remote part of the state when the suspects took policemen and vigilante operatives to their hideout.
