Soldiers kill 4 Boko Haram terrorists in Yobe

Members of the Nigerian Army on Wednesday killed four Boko Haram terrorists in a shootout at a village in Gaidam Local Government Area of Yobe State, according to Premium Times.

According to eyewitnesses the incident occurred near Jororo village at about 3 p.m. when soldiers on patrol spotted the terrorists on motorbikes.

One of the witnesses, Abdullahi Aminu, said, “Four of them were shot dead near Jororo village while one of them was caught while trying to escape.

“They were all heavily armed with AK47 rifles and wore ammunition belts.

“All of them were on Kasea motorcycles. We don’t know their targeted destination, but thank God it was thwarted,” he added.

The Nigerian Army is yet to confirm the report, but a soldier in the state confirmed the incident in Jororo, 10km from Gaidam town.

“You know it is not my job to address the press on matters like this, but what you have is correct,” he said. “Those criminals have been evasive for some time but thank God that we have been able to nab them finally.”
