We call him Suwe’s Daddy here at YNaija – just as well, since he can ask the NDLEA ”Who’s your daddy now?’

Popular Yoruba home video actor Baba Suwe has been awarded the sum of #25million in damages for his arrest and continued detention in October by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on suspicion of ingesting illegal substances.

Justice Yetunde Idowu in her ruling this morning at the Ikeja High Court outlined that his arrest and continued detention from 12, October 2011was in gross violation of his human rights according to the dictates of the constitution and also ordered the NDLEA to issue a public apology to the comic actor in two widely circulated national dailies.

A visibly excited Baba suwe told YNaija that he was ‘’very happy and grateful to Nigerians for their support’’ throughout his ordeal.
