Thanks to the intervention of the leadership of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)( especially the party’s leader, Bola Ahmed Tinubu), the saga over the sack of Lagos doctors may have finally come to an end.

This follows the “suspension of the sack” of the 788 doctors recently relieved of their duties by the state government.

Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, ACN leader Tinubu, and Lagos State Commissioner of Environment Tunji Bello addressed reporters at the end of their meeting. They urged doctors to return to work.

It is unclear if the demands of the doctors which led to their strike have also been acceded to; nor is it clear what happens to the new doctors recently employed by the state government.
