#TheVoiceNigeria: Look who made it into the competition at tonight’s final blind auditions

We finally made it to the last round of the blind auditions and it was exciting to watch the last set of contestants battle for the remaining slots on the coaches’ teams.

Patoranking, in past weeks, had grabbed a larger number of talents than his mates so he was left with one slot to fill tonight. Yemi Alade and Timi Dakolo each had two slots left while Waje who had carefully chosen her team was left with three slots.

It became imperative for tonight’s contestants to sing their hearts out and pray the gods to help them gain buzzer bangs and chair turns for the eight slots left.

Here’s a recap of performances from the eight contestants that got lucky:

Kelvin Audu, a man. Rihanna, a woman. But the young man maintained his spot on the stage and got all four coaches to Take a Bow but he ended on Team Yemi Alade. Great job, Kelvin! Great job!

The first duo on the show are sisters, Tara and Bella who performed a duet of Whitney Houston’s 90s classic, Heartbreak Hotel. It all looked bleak until Timi blessed them with a turn as they closed their performance.

Another Rihanna impersonator on the show tonight was 21-year-old, Happiness Osasumwen who got the men, Timi and Patoranking to turn for her. Happiness went with Timi!

Bunmi Oshin is another 21-year-old who looks quite the star already and yes, she also performed another Rihanna song, Only Girl in the World. Only Yemi Alade was convinced though…

Isaac Aloma had something extra to offer. He had given it a shot last season but didn’t make it so this time, after a performance of Okay, Waje okayed him for a spot on her team.

Some Nights like this one are lucky nights for Gerald Agwunobi who was the first to perform tonight. With three chair turns, Gerald landed a spot on the coveted Team Timi.

Amarachi Ugoeke performs Katy Perry’s Wide Awake and Waje welcomed her into her team with open arms.

Filling Luther Vandross’ shoes is no child’s play and after performing Here and Now, Daniel James was able to get himself two chair turns from Waje and Patoranking. He opted for the former.

Big certainly do not cry and Ese Urinrin registered that fact in our consciousness with her performance that earned her turns from Patoranking and Waje.
