The Thread: Good bye Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali

Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abu Ali is dead. He died “at about 10.00pm on Friday when suspected insurgents attacked the 119 Battalion Nigerian army location at Mallam Fatori, northern Borno state.”  He was the commanding officer of the 272 Task Force Tank Battalion, and very instrumental in the successes recorded by the Nigerian Army in the fight against Boko Haram.

Since his death, tributes have been flowing from colleagues, buddies, the Defence Minister and President Buhari. The tribute below by @ayoadebayo4 is a tale of courage in the face of death, and we cannot but salute this our fallen hero.
