Thugs disrupt impeachment protest against Aregbesola

The protest against the impeachment of Osun state governor, isn’t going smoothly.

There has been pandemonium in Osogbo when suspected thugs disrupted the protest, which was organized by a group of Civil Societies Coalition for the Emancipation of Osun.

The protest was to rally support for Justice Folahanmi Oloyede, a serving judge of the state high court who petitioned the state house of assembly to investigate Aregbesola for alleged mismanagement of the state resources.

According t0 Vanguard, the clash between the protesters and the hoodlums took place shortly after the rally commenced.

The march which began at Ayetoro junction, initially suffered a snafu, when some people pelted the protesters with sachet water but the situation was later brought under control.

The protesters, led by leaders of CSCEO were joined by members of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, (NUP) in the march that was to end at the gate of the state House of Assembly.

Anti-riot policemen have been brought in, to put the situation under control.
