Every day on the Nigerian internet, there are people who keep our eyes glued to our phone screens as we read their rants, opinions, perspectives on political and social matters, etc. Sometimes, they are just downright ridiculous. We make it our job to take down the names of these noisemakers.
Here’s our list from today:
1 Imoh Umoren
The Film Director and Producer of The Happyness Limited and Children of Mud credits the success of girl child education to…wait for it
Sugar Daddies have contributed immensely to education

They're often part of the class that's culpable for breaking it in the first place. https://t.co/8dbPnY3Qyh
— T. Rankïn' ∆ (@AfroVII) October 18, 2017
Is he correct?
2. Cheta Nwanze
Political commentator, Mr Nwanze believes the best way forward is stopping running to the Federal Government for more breast milk, thereby forcing them to fend for themselves.
But hasn’t the Constitution set up the Federal Government to be the giver and states, the beggars?
Dear @MBuhari, please DO NOT, give the state governors any further bailouts. If they can't think through the problem, let the states sink.
— Chxta (@Chxta) October 18, 2017
Reactions from Twitter show that restructuring has to be n the table for Cheta’s recommendation to get off the ground.
See below:
Ah, its not the 'state' that will sink. It's the citizens who would have to work without pay. Although, sincerely I understand your view.

He has to bail them out or allow them generate income with their own resources, federalism is the only option
— Reverse Engineer (@yesamwamuo) October 18, 2017
Bailout issue has existed for over 40 years since days of Gowon. States deliberately incurred debts and expected FG to pay for them #Nigeria
— Max Siollun (@maxsiollun) October 18, 2017
States demand restructuring. Will that include financial independence of states and that FG will stop funding them? #Nigeria

3. Donald Trump
While President Trump is occupying himself with Colin Kaepernick and the Black struggle for equality in the NFL, Twitter news reports have it that the President told a grieving officer’s wife that her dead husband “knew what he signed up for”.
.@NFL: Too much talk, not enough action. Stand for the National Anthem.

This woman is pregnant. She has 2 kids & she just lost her husband. POTUS told her he knew what he signed up for pic.twitter.com/08ExED8jU8

Twitter has rallied support for the widow through this gofundme campaign.
Beautiful, kind people. You’ve raised over $425,000 for the children of #SgtLaDavidJohnson.
Your generosity has no limit.
Amazing grace. pic.twitter.com/xJQgXge2RX
— Michael Skolnik (@MichaelSkolnik) October 18, 2017
President Trump will have us believe it’s fake news. But you can’t blame people for taking the Congresswoman’s word over Trump’s. His history of chucking diplomacy or even condolence in favour of money works against him
Democrat Congresswoman totally fabricated what I said to the wife of a soldier who died in action (and I have proof). Sad!

4. Sam Hart
Media aide to Gov Ikpeazu of Anambra states is enjoying an “in your face, binches” moment concerning this matter of Army immunization.
Recall that when the Army embarked on what was probably meant to be a PR face-saving mission, rumours that they were injecting students with monkeypox cut that short very quickly. At the time, Political commentator Kayode Ogundamisi and others were quick to criticise the South East for wanton foolishness.
Okay. Rivers (SS) & Ondo (SW) have all withdrawn children from school over Army immunization. Would love to hear some people's views on that

Always interesting when people allow their disdain for other tribes sip through at the slightest excuse. We observe. We note. We smile.

5. Mike Asuquo
Whose sub is this?
The python couldn't dance in Miango because it is still digesting the goats it swallowed in Umuahia.
— Mike Asukwo (@Asukwoeb) October 18, 2017
6. Tony
This tweep fires shots at Buhari’s administration over the Ogoni clean up. Obviously ticked by his tweets, Esther Agbarakwe tries a defence of what are you doing about it, yourself. Which as defenses go, does not exactly inspire confidence.
"Has the Ogoni clean up started?"
"Yes"
"What exactly has been done about the Ogoni clean up?"
"Go to HYREP and ask"
Is a wawu

7. Esther Agbarakwe and TwitterNG face off.
8. Dr Dipo
When it comes to politicians, listen to what Dr Dipo says:
The politicians you defend day and night send their kids to top Unis in the US and UK in preparation to rule you a second time. Stay woke.
— Dr. Dipo Awojide (@OgbeniDipo) October 18, 2017
9. Adesua
Mrs Banky W has a life hack fo y’all.
My spending rules…
'Save before you spend'
'Don't spend money on more 'wants' than 'needs'
'Don't spend money that hasn't hit your account yet'
'Don't buy things on credit'
'Don't buy things to impress anyone, it's foolish'— Adesua Etomi (@AdesuaEtomi) October 18, 2017
10.
Not today’s noisemaker but oh so valid.
A deep and emotional ballad to the aberration that's Rochas Okorocha.??
