22-year-old, Idyl Diongoli has just emerged winner of The Voice Nigeria season 2 and there is a flurry of mixed reactions on Twitter over his victory. First thing to know about tonight’s results is this: we did not see it coming.

From the moment Jahtell and J’Dess were kicked off at the beginning of the show, viewers began to raise concerns on the reliability of the voting process. When it came down to the top two finalists and we were left with Team Timi’s Idyl and Team Patoranking’s Ebube, we kind of already knew who we’d rather have as winner.

Not that Idyl has not been amazing so far! He proved himself worthy with two beautiful performances tonight and at the end of the second one, we decided Idyl would be ‘ideal’ as winner; but that’s just us. Here’s what TwitterNG thinks of the season 2 star:
