Donald Trump compares Puerto Rico disaster to Hurricane Katrina

U.S. President Donald Trump has lamented the horrifying level of devastation caused by the category 4 Hurricane Maria which recorded 16 casualties and, compared its effect to Hurricane Katrina, which is adjudged the costliest and one of the deadliest Hurricane in U.S. history.

Hurricane Katrina struck the U.S. gulf coast in 2005.

In reaction, a Twitter user – reported at buzzfeed news – Tasneem Nashrulla has mocked President Trump’s comparison saying, “Here’s Trump comparing the death count in Puerto Rico to the death count in a “real catastrophe like Katrina”

Hurricane Katrina was an extremely destructive and deadly tropical cyclone that was the costliest natural disaster and one of the five deadliest hurricanes in the history of the United States . It washed down Bahamas, South Florida,
Central Florida, Cuba,
Louisiana (especially Greater New Orleans), Mississippi ,
Alabama, Florida Panhandle, most of eastern North America and recorded 1500 fatalities.
