President Trump continues to revel in the moderate achievement recorded at Capitol Hill later Thursday night where Senate approved the 2018 fiscal budget resolution with a reconciliation process that allows the approval with a simple majority of 51-49 and thus paved way for tax cuts without having to worry about any Democrats filibuster.
The president though noted a little disappointment from the GOP camp as Sen. Rand Paul refused to vote for the bill, but expressed optimism that the Kentucky Junior Senator will vote for the tax cuts.
“The Budget passed late last night, 51 to 49. We got ZERO Democrat votes with only Rand Paul (he will vote for Tax Cuts) voting against…..”, Trump tweeted on Friday morning.

“….This now allows for the passage of large scale Tax Cuts (and Reform), which will be the biggest in the history of our country!”

Sen. Rand Paul’s refusal to approve the bill was also shared by controversial GOP Tennessee Senator Bob Corker who called the budget provision a ‘hoax’. But unlike Rand Paul, he voted a yes for the bill giving the silver lining of affordance of tax reform.
