Two bombs exploded at the busy University of Jos main gate and its Pharmacy gate along Bauchi Road in Jos, Plateau State. The casualty figure could not be ascertained at the moment but it is believed to be high.
A source said that the first blast occurred adjacent the university’s main gate and in front of Federal College of Forestry, where the students were writing exams. The second blast was in front of the Pharmacy gate near an illegal motor park.
The blasts were about 200 metres apart on the same stretch of road leading out of the city towards Bauchi about a few minutes past 6 pm.
Men of the Special Task Force and Nigerian Police are at the scene of the bombing evacuating corpses and the injured at the time of filing this report.
