It was an amazing night of football as PSG took on Chelsea in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 encounter at the Parc des Princes.

Meanwhile, Russian heavyweight club, Zenith went to Portugal to take on the Supa-liga team Benfica.

Paris St Germain proved a class above struggling Chelsea as a 78th minute strike from substitute forward, Edinson Cavani gave the French club a 2-1 win over the Blues- after Nigerian midfielder, Mikel Obi took advantage of a knockdown from Diego Costa to smash in a 45+1 minute equalizer for Chelsea.

Benfica 1-0 Zenit: Jonas wins it late against 10-man visitors

In faraway Portugal, Benfica capitalised on a Domenico Criscito red card moment to grab a late goal by Jonas.

The Portuguese team managed to claim a 1-0 victory over Zenit from the resulting free kick played in by Nicholas Gaitan
