Unpaid allowances: Taraba football teams shut down Government House

Activities at the Taraba state government house was on Monday shut down by players of the state’s male and female football teams, Taraba FC and Taraba Queens.

According to Premium Times, the players staged the protest over the non-payment of their salary arrears for 21 months’ salary by the Taraba State Government.

Despite being tear-gassed by security operatives sent to the government house, the players vowed to continue protesting until they were paid.
