On Tuesday, 10 January, about 30 Nigerian and some Americans gathered in front of the main entrance of the World Bank in Washington DC and had a very peaceful protest.
There were a few media agencies and pessmen on ground to cover the rally. The focus of the protest was the oil subsidy Rrmoval, IMF/World bad polices and the pollution in the Niger Delta.
The protest was supported by Sahara Reporters, Africa Faith and Justice Network, Jubilee USA, Actionaid, Africa Action, Institute for Policy Studies and Occupy Nigeria Movement
There are talks about a potential New York City protest and another protest on Friday at the IMF Office in DC.
