According to a recent tweet from the White House, Vice President Mike Pence has sworn in Dr Jerome Adams as the 20th surgeon general of the United States.
Jerome Adams is an American anesthesiologist and a vice admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps..
Shortly after his appointment, Mr Pence heaped praises on the track record of the surgeon. He wrote through a tweet: “Dr. Adams’ intellect & experience helped improve the health & well-being of Indiana & we’re grateful he’ll serve as our new surgeon general”.
