“We don’t allow mini skirts” | Pastor Paul Adefarasin lays down the law at House on the Rock

by ‘Ifreke Inyang

Paul Adefarasin

Shortly before Pastor Paul Adefarasin began his Sunday sermon yesterday, he sounded a note of warning to female members who wear ‘distracting’ mini skirts.

“I will assume that the members that do this, are probably new or uninformed ones,” the dapper man of God began.

“But we don’t allow mini skirts in this church. If you must wear something short, make sure it covers your knees. Otherwise, an usher might need to come and complete your dressing.”

When Pastor Adefarasin asked for a witness, a large portion of the congregation shouted a resounding “yes”.

Just a few weeks ago, the pastor warned female singers not to climb the altar with high-heeled shoes.

  2. Thank You Sir(Pst Adefarasin). When we Do The Right Thing, The Right People ll Stay & The Wrong Ones ll Leave. We Aren’t Called To Be Like Other Christians. We Are Called To Be Like Christ. Holliness Matters!!

  3. We love to quote: When you are in Rome do as the Romans do. However, many Christians fail to allow their whole being to be led of THE HOLY SPIRIT. GOD’S WORD declares: PUT ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND MAKE NO PROVISION FOR THE FLESH TO SATISFY ITS LUSTS. Romans 13:14
It is sad that the Christian culture is not being UPHELD by the Christians. There is a worldly culture. There is a Christian culture. The Church and the world are like oil and water. They do NOT mix. Beloved Pastor, THE LORD will honour you as you declare HIS HOLINESS in our lifestyle to HIS FLOCK in your care. STAND FIRM ON HIS WORD. We know as our Elders say: The one who will die in a war will not hid the Commanders orders.

  4. Very important stressing on dress ethics. But more important to mention is the scam going on in our churches ( or business should I say). A lot of people are going to jump on my comment but why is the black man so gullible and easily enslaved ? Time to ask a lot of questions and challenge the wrong if we must ever move forward and take our rightful place among mankind. May the truth prevail and may God wipe out all the evils in the church and our society and exhault the good. God bless Nigeria and Africa !!

  5. Great TRUTH…very bitter for the worldly to swallow but SWEET unto the wise..Proper dressing is part of religion and culture…enough is enough…women’s own are always negatively different!

  6. Pls my brother Victor, do try and be more decent in your language especially in the social media.Your comments may be wrong or right since you’re entitled to your own opinion but forget not the scriptures about judging others for thou also shalt be judged. What the Servant of God said is both spiritual and moral.
As a good christian, we should all be concerned about what church of God has become today.Just look at our church wedding dresses this days from the bride to the so called bridal train.I dont envy Pastors that conduct such weddings without altering a word on decent dressing. May God forgive them. Many of such marriages are very much exposed to the an tricks of the devil since they were already too exposed(their bodies) from the wedlock.

    1. I was actually referring to a comment about one stupid mtn promo that was in the comment section but can’t seem to find it again. I am in support of what this guy said as many pentecostal churches are now a place for indecent showcase of attire.

  7. God bless u Pastor Paul and keep u as u spread d word. U r an inspiration…

  8. God bless you Pastor Paul. Saying it as it is is what our generation needs.
