Alma Asinobi completes tour of seven continents in Guinness World Record attempt
Alma Asinobi, a Nigerian travel content creator, has just concluded her tour around the globe, visiting seven continents in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the fastest time spent visiting all seven continents.
The content creator announced that she would undertake this journey using her Nigerian passport, which is ranked 91st in the global index report.
Alma documented her journey, revealing that she encountered issues at the Australian airport as she was required to provide a visa to enter the country, further delaying her initial 60-hour trip around the world.
Frank Edoho shares his thoughts on Mercy Chinwo’s legal drama with her ex-manager
TV host Frank Edoho has commented on the financial misappropriation controversy involving gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former manager, Eezee Tee.
In a recent Instagram video, Edoho disclosed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invited Eezee Tee to clarify the inconsistencies in the record label’s financial accounts.
According to him, a meeting was held between Chinwo’s team and Eezee Tee, during which both parties agreed to conduct an audit.
Edoho alleged that Eezee Tee still owes Chinwo money from their contractual agreement. He further stated that two audits have been carried out, both revealing discrepancies in the accounts managed by Eezee Tee.
Jide Kosoko claims that many Nollywood actresses engage in sexual favours for fame
Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko, 71, has asserted that no one can be coerced into trading sexual favours for movie roles.
Kosoko, on the latest episode of “The Honest Bunch” podcast, emphasised the importance of personal boundaries, noting that individuals have the right to reject unwanted advances.
He also pointed out that some actresses enter the industry with the misguided belief that engaging in sexual favours will help advance their careers.
“If I said I need you to come and warm my bed so that I can give you this role, and you said no, you don’t want to, they cannot force you to do it. If someone introduces something to you and you are not interested, say no,” he remarked.
Ini Edo holds a funeral for her late father in Uyo
Nollywood actress Ini Edo held her late father’s funeral this weekend in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, inviting her colleagues from the entertainment industry.
The funeral ceremony was significant, as many prominent figures were present to support the actress in her time of sorrow.
“Finally, I laid to rest my first love. A man whose presence shaped our lives in ways words can barely capture. Our father was more than just a provider and protector—he was a guiding light, a man who walked with unwavering faith and instilled in us the fear of God.”
