EFCC charges record label ‘EeZee Conceptz’ with theft

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has accused Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, the founder of the record label ‘EeZee Conceptz,’ of exploiting gospel singer Judith Kanayo (Judikay).

On February 25, 2019, Judikay entered into a five-year management agreement with the label, which is set to end in 2024. In June 2024, the singer petitioned the EFCC, accusing Onyedikachukwu of falsifying accounts.

Judith alleges that Onyedikachukwu and his label theft from her amount to £800,000. She claims that the label entered into various contracts with digital streaming platforms and third parties on her behalf, which included selling, distributing, licensing, and exploiting her musical compositions and sound recordings.

Anne Idibia reveals she miscarried her twins in 2024

Anne Idibia, the wife of Nigerian singer 2Baba, revealed that she was pregnant with twins in 2024, but she suffered a miscarriage.

The reality TV star opened up in the latest episode of the Netflix series, “Young, Famous and African”, telling the world of her pain and loss while she played the part of a happy woman.

“The whole of last year, even in the group, I was not coming out enough. I was pregnant with twins but I had a miscarriage,” she said.

“I wish I had someone in this group to tell me I’m pregnant. I would be having a baby, and then we lost that. It was hard.”

Wole Ojo states the reason why he is disappointed with Nollywood’s growth

Nigerian actor Wole Ojo recently opened up in an interview, stating reasons for disappointment with Nollywood’s growth.

The actor, who has starred in several stage plays, movies, and series, claimed that the Nollywood industry has yet to grow into its best stage.

“Nollywood has grown in some ways, but at what rate is it growing, and is the rate satisfactory? Can we do better? Can we earn better? Absolutely yes. There is a way that you look at growth depending on what your target is,” he said.

“The growth rate is disgustingly slow because of the information we have available. It could be excused in the 80s and 90s because of the things we had available to us, but now, with what we have, there is no way the rate shouldn’t be bigger. And kudos to the people who are even championing it, who, despite the restrictions, are breaking bounds.”

Tonto Dikeh claims God used her to reunite her sister with their father after 47 years

Nollywood star and politician, Tonto Dikeh claimed that she was able to reunite her sister with their father through the help of God after 47 years apart.

The political figure shared her testimony at a Sunday church service at the Streams of Joy International, saying that the reunion happened nearly three years ago after she attended a service, where she prayed for her father’s “peace of mind”.

The actress revealed two days later that she received a direct message on Instagram from a woman claiming to be her sister. After verifying, she discovered the woman was her sister, whom her father had abandoned.
