CEO & Counter-Terrorism advisor, MOSECON, Yan St-Pierre, is not finding the treatment he received at a Nigerian airport very funny. Evidently, he is new to this bribery and corruption that underscores our very existence as a society.
See below.
Dear FAAN personnel Abuja, if you're going to ask me 5 times "do you have something for me, my friend?", may I suggest more discretion? 1/4

Especially at security checkpoints. You may not realise this but asking for bribes undermines the purpose of your job. 2/4

Tells me you're willing to look the other way for right amount & that's actually dangerous. Also, corruption & asking for bribes 3/4

is not "normal" so being so open about it & to a certain degree flaunting it, shouldn't be part of standard practice. 4/4

I have no problem w/real tipping. My problem is security guys checking my bag, patting me down & asking me for money at same time https://t.co/WoInSvVUdO

I got this from the Lagos airport. number should be valid for Abuja as well. You should consider making a formal report pic.twitter.com/4D5DWet2FT

@Zahrahmusa u didn't need his help. Very annoying. They think everyone coming to the airport can afford to give them a tip/4
