The 2016 edition of the BET Awards is holding this Saturday in Los Angeles and an array of Africa’s music stars are in the US to partake in the pre-event activities of the awards.

The spotlight is however, on the winner of the keenly-contested categories – ‘Best ‘International Act: Africa’ and the Viewer’s Choice ‘Best New International Act’.

Yemi Alade, Wizkid, AKA – who are facing off in the  Best ‘International Act: Africa category – are among the African music stars who are in the US.

Popular media personalities such as Bonang Matheba, Maria Okan, Tosin Ajibade, Ehiz, Nandi Mngoma, Lerato Kganyago and others from the continent, have also made their way to LA for the awards.
