It’s day 13 of the Big Brother Naija ‘Pepper Dem’ Reunion show and the theme for the day was fan love.

Show host, Ebuka began by asking Diana what feeling she experienced from the reception by her fans after on leaving the house. She described it as overwhelming and unbelievable, stressing how she had strangers praying for her.

On the issue of navigating fan love and intrusion, Diana noted that she signed up for it as soon as she made it into the House.

Thelma

As it relates to dealing with negativity from fans, she said that she has become accustomed to it, but admitted getting into a heated debate with a fan who she deemed as overly derogatory.

Ike

Asked if attacks by fans of particular housemate on another housemate affect relationships, he responded in the affirmative but stressed that he said he doesn’t take it to heart, even though some others may.

According to him, aggression by some fans is a ploy to mask their own insecurities. He is able to cope because he removes himself from it and allows others to handle his social media accounts. He admitted that he likes amazing comments, and went on to explain how he did a giveaway because of a nice comment a fan dropped.

Elozonam

For him, the fans “get so intrusive, they cause us to fight amongst ourselves.” Thelma recalled an episode where fans of Mercy ‘dragged’ her for three consecutive days straight, forcing her to call Mercy to find out if they were still cool.

Viral moments in the house

The Omashola and Tacha fight topped the list. They had been at each other’s throats for over an hour, howling monosyllabic insults. Omashola recalled that he was ready for Tacha on the said day, but didn’t know that it would go viral.

Tacha and Titans

Asked if her she thinks her fans are a reflection of her, she said no, but that they simply relate to her.

On aggression by her fans, her response was that she preaches love and she wants them to understand that they shouldn’t base their judgement on previous events in the house. She said that sometimes she gets tired of the rift between her fan base and others.

Contrary to what Tacha’s opinion, Mercy stated that Tacha’s fans have a habit of attacking other housemates and that Tacha encourages the same by reposting and liking such negative comments. She noted that the issue is the reason she isn’t ‘down’ with the idea of having a get together with Tacha.

Frodd made reference to an incident where Tacha’s fans ‘dragged’ him over a misunderstanding and he went on to send her a direct message (DM) addressing that issue, but rather than a response, she unfollowed him and he did same to her as well as unsent his messages to her.

Elozonam also had something to say about Tacha’s fans, as he called them ‘intense.’ In his opinion, Mercy fans share the same level of intensity but are different. For him, fans of Mercy are more defensive and peaceful as opposed to attacking. A position Venita agreed to, stating that people in positions of influence should guide their fans towards healthier conversations. “I definitely don’t feel Titans are healthy,” she said.
